Biography

Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Balushi is Group CEO of Oman International Development and Investment Company (Ominvest), which he joined in 2014, and a board member of Oman Arab Bank. At Ominvest he led the merger with ONIC Holding, the IPO of National Life, the merger of National Finance with Orix Leasing, and the merger of Oman Arab Bank with Alizz Islamic Bank. He was CEO of Ahli Bank from 2007 to 2014, holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He is also Chairman of Ubhar Capital and a board member of National Finance, LIVA Group and LIVA Oman.
