Towell Group traces its origin to W. J. Towell & Co., established in Muscat in 1866, which Mohamed Fadhel bought outright in 1914 after joining it in 1883. It is one of the largest private-sector conglomerates in Oman, family-owned and family-run, with operations in engineering, automotive, real estate, transportation and services, FMCG, manufacturing and IT services, and a presence in the UAE and India.
