Muscat Stock Exchange is Oman's securities exchange, transformed from a government entity into a closed joint stock company operating under the umbrella of Oman Investment Authority. In June 2021 its board appointed Haitham bin Salem Al Salmi, previously General Manager of Muscat Clearing and Depository, as Chief Executive Officer. In February 2026 the exchange said it was tightening market-making obligations and streamlining foreign investor onboarding to build structural liquidity and pursue MSCI and FTSE eligibility, with Tabadul-linked trading value of about RO 585 million in 2025.
