Biography

Tamer El Mahdi was appointed Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt on 30 September 2025, succeeding Mohamed Nasr. He has over 30 years in telecommunications and IT, including as Group CEO of Orascom Telecom Media and Technology (2014 to 2019) and CEO of Djezzy in Algeria (2008 to 2013), and joined the board as a government representative in March 2025.
